A photo-exhibition is opened on the results of the competition “My Clean City”

Inauguration of a photo-exhibition on the results of the competition “My Clean City” took place within the framework of the project “Clean Gala” realized in Qala Settlement following the initiative of the   Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

The photo-exhibition held within the framework of the project “Clean Qala” being implemented by “Clean City” OJSC aims at popularizing the principle “green thinking” and draw the attention of the youth to the beauty of the city and preservation thereof.

 

Opening the event being held at “Maiden Tower” Gallery, chairperson of “Clean City” OJSC Zakir Ibrahimov noted the significance of the care shown by the state towards the environment, and underscored that this field is a constant focus of attention of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Zakir Ibrahimov talked also about the significance of  “Clean Qala”, a waste management project, which has been implemented in Qala Settlement since 2010, following the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and gave information about the enlightenment  actions taken within the framework of this project.

 

Along with photos reflecting beautiful places of Baku, photos of places contaminated by wastes are also displayed at the exhibition. The objective is to call on the population and visitors to protect the beauty of Baku.

 

The exhibition will continue until February 23.

 

Over 300 photos covering such subjects as waste recycling, reuse and, in general, developing ecological culture were submitted to the photo-competition held November 20 to December 10 last year. 50 photos chosen by the jury among them are demonstrated at the exhibition.
