Director of Louvre Museum Henry Luaret visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Director of Louvre Museum Henry Luaret visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on May 29.

 

An employee of the Foundation provided the distinguished guest with information on history, objectives and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. For last 2 years nearly 200 schools were built and commissioned in all regions and remotest villages of the republic, supplied with necessary appliances on the initiative of the Foundation. The Foundation has also performed several projects in field of healthcare, development of science, culture, application of IT. Closely cooperating with international organizations Heydar Aliyev Foundation has purchased 5000 various textbooks, scientific and literary literature, published in Russia, and distributed to high schools of the republic. Information given on restoration of 2 unique outdoor statues created in Paris Versailles Palace in 1674 and included in the World Cultural Heritage by the Foundation pleased the guest.  

 

Henry Luaret and his delegation saw the museum of the Foundation. Attentively viewing the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, the French visitor paid attention that Heydar Aliyev got only ‘excellent’ marks at secondary and high schools. He highly valued his actions in Moscow as one of leaders of USSR and leader of young state of Azerbaijan starting to build the independent state. The guest emphasized foundation of France-Azerbaijan friendship was laid during his leadership in the country, said Heydar Aliyev is always deeply honored in France.

 

Director of Louvre Museum signed the guest book of the Foundation, expressed his rich impression of familiarization with the Foundation named after outstanding political figure Heydar Aliyev.

 

The guest was presented with a music album ‘Singers of Garabag’, project of the Foundation, on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO.

 

Culture and tourism minister Abulfas Garayev accompanied the visitors.
