Latvian President Andris Berzinsh acquainted himself with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of the Republic of Latvia Andris Berzinsh visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, April 24.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev informed the guest of the objectives and activity of the Foundation established in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The guest was told that the Foundation studies and promotes the rich legacy of the national leader and, by implementing various social, economic and cultural projects, it provides support to Azerbaijan’s progress and promotion of its culture and history.

The Latvian President acquainted himself with pictures and exhibits taken from Heydar Aliyev’s personal archive and covering individual periods of his activity, reflecting the most different moments of his life.

Andris Berzinsh was told that Heydar Aliyev’s period was one of the most glorious pages of Azerbaijan’s history. And the social and economic development and achievements reached, which the international union recognizes as matchless success of our country, are just the product of the national leader’s activity.

The Latvian President familiarized himself with  various documents covering individual periods of Heydar Aliyev’s activity, reflecting the most different moments of his life and giving a broad idea of a whole period of our history, as well as presents given by world-renowned political figures, books devoted to the national leader, sayings of influential figures of science, culture and art about the founder of an independent state of Azerbaijan, and viewed pictures taken during meetings with leaders of foreign countries.

Andris Berzinsh wrote his heartfelt words in the Guest Book.

He was given a present of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
