Azerbaijani Culture Days held in a number of towns in France due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in France held Azerbaijani Culture Days in the towns of Gaillard, Thonon-les-Bains and Evian, Rhône-Alpes, France due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation from May 29 to June 5. 


Azerbaijani Culture Days aroused big interest in the French public.


The events started in Gaillard with the launch of the exhibition of Azerbaijani culture and ended with presentation of the national music and cuisine. 


The exhibition presented Azerbaijan’s tourist resources and cultural heritage of the town of Shamakhy. In the event, the officials of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism provided detailed information in French.  


Officials of the Gaillard Town Hall led by the Mayor and schoolchildren visited the exhibition opened on May 30.


Delegation led by Head of Shamakhy District Executive Power Asif Mammadov participated in the events in Gaillard. The Protocol of Cooperation on the expansion of cultural cooperation between Gaillard and Shamakhy was signed during the event.


The same day, Azerbaijani musicians presented a concert at the Louis Simon Hall in Gaillard. Following the concert, samples of Azerbaijani cuisine, also booklets on Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and tourist resources were presented to the attendees of the event.


The Culture Days continued in Thonon-les-Bains and Evian with the presentation of the colorful Azerbaijani music, which was much appreciated by the audience.


In these events, officials of the mayor’s offices of both towns and Azerbaijani Ambassador in France E.Emirbeyov gave comprehensive information about Azerbaijan. The events organized in Rhône-Alpes were widely covered by the local press.
