The Turkish Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a conference in Bursa in connection with Daghlyg Garabagh and the Khojaly Genocide

The Turkish Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a conference at Uludagh University in Bursa in connection with the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Daghlyg Garabagh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide.


Delivering a speech at a conference entitled “Occupation of Azerbaijani lands and atrocities committed by Armenians in Garabagh”, head of the Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Turkey Samir Jafarov informed of the occupation policy of Armenia against Azerbaijan and the killings committed by Armenians, and the Khojaly Genocide. He mentioned  that, having put an end to the chaos and civil commotions during the Garabagh war, national leader Heydar Aliyev secured a ceasefire, and in a short span of time Azerbaijan became one of the strongest states of the region.


Addressing the conference, professor Goksel Ishyar, docent Barysh Ozdal talked of Armenia’s occupation policy, its territorial claims against Turkey and Azerbaijan, and the destructive role it played in the region. Having emphasized that the Khojaly Genocide was also a tragedy of Turkey, they said the two brotherly countries have to joint their efforts in the fight against a common enemy.


Participants of the Conference watched a documentary talking of the Daghlyg Garabagh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide.
