A Week of Azerbaijani Cuisine starts at UNESCO Headquarters

A Week of Azerbaijani Cuisine entitled “Traditional Dishes Preserved For Centuries” started with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and organizational support of Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative Office under UNESCO, June 2.


The objective of the Week was to popularize Azerbaijan’s ancient cuisine culture at UNESCO during a week.


The first day of the event, which coincided with the meetings of the 5th General Assembly of the states-members of the UNESCO Convention for protection of intangible cultural heritage, ended successfully. UNESCO employees and representatives of various nations being represented at the organization showed great interest towards the dished prepared by Azerbaijani cooks.
