Khachmaz district’s Shimali village secondary school was built within the project “New schools to new Azerbaijan”  of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The previous building of the school consisted of rooms made of wooden boards for fishermen in 1906. Construction of a new school building started in June of 2011on a 5600- m² area, and in December it was completed and put into operation.

The one-floor school building has computer and physician’s rooms, a library, an assembly room and a canteen. Classrooms are heated by a boiler room working on diesel. All conditions have been created at the sport ground built in the school yard for physical education of schoolchildren.

Education at the school designed for 120 schoolchildren is in Russian.
