An exhibition of Andy Warhol’s works entitled “Life, Death and Beauty”

On June 21, 2013, an exhibition of famous artist of the 20th century Andy Warhol’s works entitled “Life, Death and Beauty” was inaugurated, with joint support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Andy Warhol Museum.

 

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Andy Warhol Museum, diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as persons of culture and art.

 

Up to 100 works and short documentaries of the artist were demonstrated at the exhibition.

 

The exhibition not only allows to receive comprehensive information about Andy Warhol’s works, but also avant-garde film and pop-art.

 

The exhibition continued until 9 September.

 

Demonstrating the works by Andy Warhol in many museums of the world, the Andy Warhol Museum has an extensive mobile exhibition program. Exhibitions organized by the Museum in 40 countries since 1996 have been visited by about 10 million people.
