Mehriban Aliyeva meets with UN Deputy Secretary General Asha-Rose Migiro

May 24, Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, met with UN Deputy Secretary General Asha-Rose Migiro, who is in Baku to attend the 7th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Equality between Women and Men of the Council of Europe.

It was stressed during the meeting that the Conference would support gender equality projects in the world.

Touching upon the high-level Azerbaijan-UN relations, Mehriban Aliyeva said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is cooperating with a number of UN agencies. She expressed assurance for further expansion of bilateral ties.

Asha-Rose Migiro expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani First Lady for her contribution to the Conference.
