A meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Joshkun

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with Ambassador of Turkey to our country Ismail Alper Joshkun, February 11.

Having welcomed the guest, Azerbaijan’s First Lady said she was pleased to meet the Ambassador of a friendly and brotherly country. Mehriban Aliyeva noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey relied on brotherhood and friendship, and covered all spheres. Having underlined the contribution made by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation  to the development of relations between the two countries, Azerbaijan’s First Lady noted that the Foundation has implemented a series of projects along with the Turkish Government.

Thanking Mehriban Aliyeva for the reception, Ismail Alper Joshkun noted  he had been serving as the Ambassador to our country for already five months, and said he would do his utmost to broaden the existing brotherly and friendly relations further during his term in Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, discussions were also held on the joint projects to be implemented in 2013 with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the spheres of public health, culture etc., and the necessity of joint works with foundations acting in Turkey was emphasized. Also, exchange of opinions was held on the ways of strengthening Azerbaijan’s further promotion in the world, including Turkey.
