Mehriban Aliyeva meets mayor of the city of Cannes David Lisnard

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met mayor of the city of Cannes David Lisnard, July 9.

Mentioning that Azerbaijan was holding a series of events in Cannes for the second time, David Lisnard noted that, as opposed to the last year, this time our country gave priority to sports event, and that this coincided with the development perspectives of the city of Cannes.

Mehriban Aliyeva expressed her pleasure of presenting Azerbaijan’s cultural treasures in the city of Cannes.

Emphasizing the extensive sports events included in this year’s programme, Mehriban Aliyeva said this was associated with Baku hosting the First European Games in summer of 2015.

Discussions were also held on future joint projects during the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, souvenir were exchanged.
