Mehriban Aliyeva meets with Elsa Monti, spouse of Italy`s Prime Minister Mario Monti

As part of her visit to Italy, Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with Elsa Monti, spouse of Italy`s Prime Minister Mario Monti, December 1.

In the meeting, the sides discussed joint cultural projects and agreed on student and teacher exchange between universities of the two countries. They stressed importance of teaching Azerbaijani language and culture in Italy, and Italian language in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan`s First Lady invited Mrs Monti to pay a visit to Azerbaijan.

Then, spouse of Italy`s Prime Minister briefed Mrs Aliyeva on the history and territory of Villa Pamphili, the Italian Government`s official receptions house. Built in the first half of 17th century, the house is a masterpiece in Italian architecture. The building, where the gems of the art are preserved, was publicly opened in 1972. 

Elsa Monti hosted a reception in honor of Azerbaijan`s First Lady.
