New schools opened in Georgia on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

On the eve of every school year, new secondary schools are constructed and old ones are capitally repaired in Azerbaijani-populated regions of Georgia on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. This noble tradition was continued and this year. 


New secondary schools were opened several days ago in Dashlygullar and Jafarli villages of Bolnisi district, Kvemo Kartli-Borchaly region.


September 19, opening ceremony of a modern school in Garajalar village of Gardabani district took place in the region.


First Deputy Minister of Georgia for Education and Science Goga Seperteladze expressed gratitude in the ceremony to Heydar Aliyev Foundation. According to him, the Ministry is in close cooperation with its Azerbaijani colleagues for development of education and textbooks, and these relations will be continued.


Kvemo Kartli-Borchaly Region Governor David Kirkitadze expressed thanks to Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s management for the constriction, repair and equipment of schools and other projects. He said the Ministry of Georgia for Education and Science will soon solve the problems in the field of textbook supply of Azerbaijan schools.


In the event, nearly 80 first formers of the Garajalar school were presented with computers. 45 teachers deal with education of 700 pupils at this school, which has 31 classrooms, a gym and many subject rooms.


The participants of the opening ceremony expressed gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva for the care and concern for Azerbaijanis living in Georgia.


Senior official of the Azerbaijan Embassy to Georgia Shovgi Mehdizadeh was present in the ceremony.
