New building for school 23 of Kalbajar district launched in Garachukhur settlement due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

New building constructed in Garachukhur settlement of Surakhany district due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for Complete Secondary School 23 of Kalbajar district was launched, 14 May.

Reminding the 88th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Deputy Head of Kalbajar District Executive Power Novruz Chiragov mentioned in the opening ceremony the huge merits of President Ilham Aliyev in the intensive development of Azerbaijan’s economy.

He underlined new educational centers are opened in the country thanks to Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP.

The previous building of School 23, which includes 170 pupils and 30 teachers, consisted of small rooms adapted for education. The school built at the initiative of the Foundation to the latest standards has been designed for 240 pupils. It will have 11 classrooms, cabinets for chemistry, physics and other subjects, computer room, library with books on Azerbaijani literature, history and culture.

The stand in the School’s lobby displays pictures reflecting great leader Heydar Aliyev’s life and actions.

The School has a modern heat system and mini football field, its yard has been improved, asphalted.

Ilgar Mustafayev, the spokesman of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Rovshan Aghayev, the senior official of the Presidential Administration, Ahmad Talybov, the deputy head of Surakhany District Executive Power, Mirsayyaf Zamanov, the director of the School, valued the opening of the new building as the sign of the high care to the development of education.

Parents assessed the launch of the new school as a result of the attention First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva renders to Kalbajar IDPs and expressed her gratitude. 

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the attendees were familiarized with the School.

Professor of the Azerbaijan Technical University Sabir Guliyev and Professor of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Yusif Ahmadov gave pupils master classes for biology and mathematics. 

The ceremony ended with adopting an address to President Ilham Aliyev and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
