President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of vocational school No.5 in Buzovna Settlement

Vocational school No.5, newly constructed on the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative in Buzovna Settlement of the Khazar District of Baku was officially opened. First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, member to the Milli Majlis from the Khazar District Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening  ceremony.

The First Lady cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening.

Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the photo stand reflecting the previous look of the school. It was informed that currently second to none in the CIS countries, this vocational school is located in 1.2 hectare area. Being in use since 1969, the school had trained lathe operators, barbers and financial accounting specialists until it was stopped for reconstruction. After the reconstruction, in addition to outer view and logistics basis, the school’s specialization has also changed, and it has set a target to provide the personnel basis of the movie, theatre and other spheres of the culture and art with  professional technicians. Movie and video-operators, scene lighting and make-up professionals, movie -TV fitters, voice operators, theatre, movie and TV-studio decorators, tailors and technicians on computer repair and service will be trained at vocational school №5.

Education at the school is two-year. Number of students are now 160. In future, their number will be increased up to 320. A team of teachers currently comprised of 19 and in future 38 teachers will teach students vocational secrets associated with technical aspects of art.

Familiarizing herself with the school canteen, Mehriban Aliyeva expressed satisfaction with the conditions created here. Then the First Lady viewed the shooting and voice recording studios and director’s room created at the school. Studios provided with the latest voice-recording and mobile TV-studio shooting equipment have direct broadcasting capabilities.

Movie and video-operators, scene lighting and make-up professionals, movie -TV fitters, voice operators, theatre, movie and TV-studio decorators, tailors and technicians on computer repair and service are trained at vocational school №5.

Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the assembly room, classroom, make-up room, decoration rooms, tailor’s shop, medical station, library and other shops created at the school. While familiarizing herself with the library, she was informed that in addition to books related to culture and art, there are also other teaching aids here.

A standalone sports complex has been constructed in the school’s yard. Mini-football, basketball, volleyball and track and field athletics equipment and gym apparatus have been provided here.

Mehriban Aliyeva expressed satisfaction with the conditions created at the school, and emphasized that education here should be of high quality.
