Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov was decorated with France’s Literature and Art Order

Director of the Heydar Aliyev Centre, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov was decorated with France’s Literature and Art Order (cavalier degree), February 1, 2013.  A decision on this award was made on April 13, 2012 by the French Government.

Instituted in 1957, the Prize is awarded to persons who have contributed to promotion of literature in France, as well as in the world, development of relations between countries and dialogue among cultures.

Talking of the humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Pascal Mone, who presented the award to Anar Alakbarov, said the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s works in this sphere may be called as “friendship projects”.The Ambassador evaluated the decoration of Anar Alakbarov with the “Literature and Art” Order as the high appreciation by the French Government of his endeavours in the projects serving the development of relations between France and Azerbaijan, mutual enrichment of the two countries’ culturesand making our nations know each other more closely.
