A regular meeting of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest’s Organization Committee was held under the leadership of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva

A regular meeting of the Organization Committee established in connection with holding the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest was held on March 16 under the leadership of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.

At the meeting, chairman of the Organization Committee Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva noted that active preparation works are being carried out in connection with the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest.

The First Lady of Azerbaijan emphasized that the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest should be held at the highest level, and brought to the attention of the Organization Committee members that a number of issues in this direction had found their solutions. However there were also issues, of which execution was important.

Saying there was less than two months left before the start of the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest,   chairman of the Organization Committee Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva noted that a plan covering every direction had been developed to hold the Contest.

Then reports by members of the Organization Committee regarding the works done to hold the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest were heard. They said works both in connection with the organization of the show and also preparation for the Contest were performed at a fast pace.  Experts from the European Broadcasting Union have highly evaluated the works done. On 19-20 March, representatives from 42 countries will get together in Baku and familiarize themselves with the preparation works in connection with the Contest.
