An Azerbaijani Camp will be organized in Paris with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

An Azerbaijani Camp will be organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on Saint Sulpice Square, Paris. Various exhibitions will be held in the Camp from 19 to 28 September, promoting Azerbaijan’s history and culture, and its tourism capacity.

 

At the exhibitions “Cultural Treasures of Azerbaijan – the Pearl of the Caucasus”, “Nizami Ganjavi” and “France through Azerbaijani Artists’ Eyes”, exhibits related to Azerbaijan’s old and rich history and culture, including copper items, shebeke (lattices), Azerbaijani national garments, national music instruments, and Azerbaijani carpets will be presented.

 

Materials related to the creativity of Nizami Ganjavi, a great Azerbaijani poet and thinker  of the 12th century, archaeological finds related to that period – coins, jewellery, household items, reproductions of miniatures drawn by medieval Azerbaijani artists, porcelain dishes with miniatures reflected on, as well as carpets and batiks made on the basis of subjects of the poems included in “Khamsa” will be exhibited here.

 

Stands representing our national cuisine will also be built in the Azerbaijani Camp. National sweets, drinks, folk art samples etc. will be exhibited at stands related to various Azerbaijani companies such as Azersun Holding LTD, Gilan Holding LTD, AzGranata LTD, AzNar CJSC, Caspian Coast Winery & Vineyards, Fireland Vineyards, Aspi Winery, Sharur-3 LTD, Sirab OJSC, Gemigaya Holding, Gadabay, AzPromo, Azer-Ilma LTD.

 

Presentation associated with preparation for the “Baku-2015” First European Games  will also be held and “Travel to Azerbaijan” tourism exhibition organized in the Azerbaijani Camp.

 

Publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation covering various spheres will also be presented in the Camp.

 

Within the framework of the 10-day exhibition-fair, Azerbaijani masters of art will perform with various concert programs before city residents and tourists. Azerbaijan’s classic, jazz and mugham art will be presented by the State Dance Group, Natig Rhythm Group, the State Folk Music Instruments Ensemble and other music groups, and performances of rope-dancers and athletes take place.

 

During the events, streets of Paris will be decorated with posters related to Azerbaijan.
