A concert takes place in Shamkir within the framework of the 2nd International Ashyg Festival
Within the framework of the 2nd International Ashyg Festival held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Azerbaijan Ashygs Union, the next concert was held at the Ahmad Javad Culture Centre in Shamkir, November 17.
At the ceremony, which was joined by masters of art from Turkey, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Dagestan, along with Azerbaijan, head of Shamkir District Executive Authority Alimpasha Mammadov, professor Gazanfar Pashayev and head of department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Fikret Babayev delivered a speech.
In the speeches, it was emphasized that today the ashyg art is enjoying a new phase of its development due to endeavours by Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
Performances by ashygs-participants of the Festival were heard at the concert.
