A music album devoted to People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Alibaba Mammadov is published following the initiative of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva
A new music album devoted to the life and creativity of Alibaba Mammadov, an eminent representative of Azerbaijani national music culture, People’s Artist, skilful performer of mugham, tasnifs and popular songs, is published following the initiative of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, who has been providing constant support to preservation and development of Azerbaijan’s mugham art, to mark the khanendeh’s 85th anniversary.
The album includes a book talking about the life and creativity of Alibaba Mammadov, who very well knows popular music to its nicety and samples of Azerbaijani classic poetry and has enriched Azerbaijan’s national music treasury by his original performance style, two publications with the notes of his own songs and tasnifs and 4 CDs with popular songs, tasnifs and mughams performed by the khanendeh.
The book talks about the virtuosic khanendeh’s childhood and youth years and the years of creativity with rich and unforgettable events. Published with high polygraphic quality, the album is rich in various photos reflecting the life of Alibaba Mammadov.
Samples of music included in the CDs reflect the path of creativity, a perfect sample of Alibaba Mammadov’s service to preserving and developing the traditions of the national school of singers as a professional record.
