Job Fair is held for Azerbaijani students at the Heydar Aliyev Center

Job fair took place for Azerbaijani students at the Heydar Aliyev Center, May 23, with joint organizational support from the Ministry of Education, AmCham Azerbaijan American Chamber of Trade, British American Tobacco, and with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Addressing the opening ceremony of the fair, minister of education Mikail Jabbarov thanked the management of the Heydar Aliyev Center for the support provided to the organization of the event.

 

Talking about the significance of the fair, which brought together the labour market and higher education institutions, the minister said the job fair aimed to drawing students studying at different universities of Azerbaijan into practice at international and local companies, as well as broadening the opportunities for provision them with jobs.

 

Underscoring that such job fairs will be held every year, M.Jabbarov said this would have positive impact on bringing graduates to conformity with the requirements of the labour market. 

 

Executive Director of the American Chamber of Trade in Azerbaijan Nargiz Nasrullayeva, head of the Heydar Aliyev Center’s machinery Mahammad Abdullayev, and representative of British American Tobacco Zviad Shvitaridze delivered a speech at the event. 

 

Then the attendees of the event made themselves acquainted with an exhibition. Over 50 local and international companies operating in Azerbaijan participated in the exhibition. They joined the fair with over 300 vacant jobs.
