The Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranges a concert programme within the framework of the Azerbaijani “National Day” at “Milan Expo 2015”

On June 9, performances of Azerbaijani masters of art took place at the Azerbaijani pavilion at “Milan Expo 2015” World Exhibition within the framework of the “National Day” held  with organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. 

At a concert programme held in the Auditorium hall on the territory of Milan Expo with participation of  the Gara Garayev State Chamber Orchestra, People’s artists Azer Zeynalov, Samir Jafarov, Honoured artists Afaq Abbasova, Nigar Shabanova, and young violinist Elvin Ganiyev performed. 

Then the concert programme continued before the Azerbaijani national pavilion, with presentation of national rhythms performed by “Natig” Rhythms Group. Here, also took place performance of the State Dance Ensemble headed by People’s Artist Afag Malikova, artisticdirector. 

Azerbaijani music and dances aroused great interest in hundreds of visitors coming to the pavilion. Those gathered on the square too danced under the sounds of the national music. Visitors watched, at the same time, performances by our wrestlers – Haldun Loghmanov and Seyhun Loghmanov. 

Here took place also presentation of our mugham, performed by singers Arzu Aliyeva and Ilkin Ahmadov.

In an evening of mugham arranged on the terrace of the pavilion, guests gained a chance to taste delicious dishes of Azerbaijan’s national cuisine. 

On the monitors installed in the “IDEA-Biodiversity Park” at the pavilion, onlookers were shown a video-film about Azerbaijan and the Baku-2015 first European Games hosted recentlyby   our country. 

In a programme devoted to the presentation of Azerbaijan’s culture at the national pavilion, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov, representatives of other countries being represented at Milan Expo 2015, and Italy’s public figures took part. 

The Azerbaijani pavilion created within the framework of “Milan Expo 2015” Exhibition with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been operating since May 1. The Azerbaijani pavilion is one of the pavilions of the “Milan Expo 2015” Exhibition made ready first,and with the most number of visitors. Over one million people visited the Azerbaijani pavilion since May 1.
