Milan Expo 2015 world exhibition has been operating since May 1st. Azerbaijan is represented at the exhibition, which will come to an end on 31st October, by its national pavilion.

Constructed with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Heydar Aliyev Center and designed in accordance with the subject of Milan Expo 2015, the national pavilion is called “Azerbaijan: A Treasure of Biodiversity”. At the four-storied national pavilion, arranged in an area of 1800 square metres, Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage, rich ecological and energy potential, and unique biodiversity are introduced.

The national pavilion is, by its design and content, one of the favourites among the participant-countries, and millions of visitors of the exhibition. To date, over 2 million people visited our  pavilion. The unique feature of the Azerbaijani pavilion is it’s being designed in 3 biospheres. Different topics are presented in each of these biospheres. Inclusion of 3 biospheres in the pavilion’s design attracts attention also to our planet’s fragility and the need for its protection.

145 countries participate at the exhibition, held under the slogan “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. 54 of them are represented by a national pavilion, others by clusters (expositions).

After the exhibition comes to an end, Azerbaijan’s national pavilion will be brought to Baku and given for visitors’ use, by having been installed at a determined address.
