The Heydar Aliyev Foundation will hold a series of events in Greece

Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s international activities are becoming wider. This year, a series of events are planned to be held in Greece, a cradle of the Western civilization, with the support of the Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Greece.

 

The first event will take place on June 6 at the Megaro Musikis Music Complex in Athens. The State Chamber Orchestra of Azerbaijan named after Gara Garayev will perform with an interesting concert program in the largest music hall of the Greek capital. In the classic music evening, works by world-renowned musicians such as Ástor Piazzolla, Pablo de Sarasate, Ernesto de Curtis will be performed along with works by Uzeir Hajibeyli, Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Jahangir Jahangirov, Niyazi and Vagif Mustafazadeh. Chief conductor of the concert is people’s artist Teymour Goychayev.

 

The first event will be realized with an extensive information support. Before the concert, visitors will become acquainted with various publications printed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in recent years. Among the publications talking about the ancient and rich Azerbaijani culture, books devoted to the Azerbaijan National Art Museum, music instruments, manuscripts and various types of folk applied art, and disks devoted to pop, jazz, mugham and classic music, as well as works by Nizami and Mahsati will be presented.
