Second Ashyg Festival participants perform with a concert programme in Tovuz

A concert by the participants of the Second International Ashyg Festival, organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and organizational support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Azerbaijan Ashygs Union, took place in the town of Tovuz, November 14.

Head of the Executive Authority of Tovuz District Tofig Zeynalov, doctor of Philology, professor Gazanfar Pashayev delivered a speech at the event. In the speeches, it was emphasized that the ashyg art was enjoying a new phase of its development due to Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

The concert programme started with a performance of  “Misri” young ashygs group of the Tovuz Music School. Then, along with Azerbaijan, ashygs from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Dagestan performed.
