A selection round on Shirvan region is held in Shamakhy for the 5th TV Mugham Contest
A selection round was held on Shirvan region for the 5th TV Mugham Contest at Shamakhy city Art Education Centre.
25 talented young people from the districts of Shamakhy, Gobustan, Ismailli, Goychay and Zardab, as well as from IDP families from Lachyn participated in the contest held with the organizational support of the Azerbaijani Television based on a project by the Azerbaijani Culture Foundation, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
A jury comprised of People’s Artists Arif Babayev, Ramiz Gouliyev, Sakina Ismailova, Mansum Ibrahimov, Secretary of the Azerbaijan Composers Union Sardar Farajov, and Honoured Person of Art Nadir Akhundov chose 4 persons among the contestants as winners of the selection round. Elim Omarov and Shahmar Hajiyev from Shamakhy, Nijat Jabrayilov from Gobustan and Sabuhi Mammadov from Zardab have won a right to participate in the second round to be held in Baku.
