An exhibition entitled “Gravures from Argentina” is opened at the Modern Art Museum with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

An exhibition entitled “Gravures from Argentina” was opened at the Modern Art Museum with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation  and organizational assistance by the Embassy of Argentina in Azerbaijan, September 9. 

 

The exhibition, where handicrafts of five artists from Argentina are displayed, was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, along with persons of cultural and art. 25 works of engraving by artists from Argentina - Marcelo Malagamba, Marcelo Agilar, Pablo Delfini, Osvaldo Khalil and Marina Rothberg - were demonstrated at the exhibition. 

 

Executive Director of the Modern Art Museum Khayyam Abdinov talked about the uniqueness of the art of engraving, and said, although this was a difficult area, perfection of the Argentinian artists were obvious.

 

Ambassador of Argentina to Azerbaijan Carlos Dante Riva talked about the significance of the exhibition, emphasizing that culture was a bridge between peoples. Thanking the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the support provided for the exhibition’s organization, the Ambassador said such exhibitions would be held regularly in future. Then the gusts acquainted themselves with the exhibition.
