Inauguration of the Uzeir Hajibeyli 7th International Music Festival takes place
Inauguration of the Uzeir Hajibeyli 7th International Music Festival, being held with organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, took place, September 18.
At an event held in the Heydar Aliyev Palace, deputy minister of culture and tourism Adalat Valiyev talked about the life path and creativity of the composer genius.
The Festival was announced open by an overture from “Koroghlu” Opera by the great composer, performed by Uzeir Hajibeyli State Symphonic Orchestra. Artistic director and chief conductor of the Orchestra is Rauf Abdullayev.
An interesting concert programme was presented at the evening, performed by the Azerbaijan State Choir, a ballet troupe of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, the State Dance Ensemble, and the State Music Theatre of Azerbaijan.
The Festival will continue until September 28.
