Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva has organized an iftar party in Moscow

Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leila Aliyeva has organized an iftar party in the Ramadan Tent (“Shater Ramadana”) opened by Russia’s Mufti Council on the occasion of Ramadan Holiday on the Poklonnaya Gora, Moscow. 

A sura from Koran was recited and a prayer said in the party attended by members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, fasting Azerbaijani youth, representatives from different countries.

Adviser at the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia Agshin Aliyev extended Eid Al-Fitr greetings to the audience. The event featured the demonstration of a film about Azerbaijan and performance of national music. An exhibition of Azerbaijani painters reflecting the Baku views, country`s nature, cultural and historical monuments was arranged in front of the tent. The guests received “Baku”, “AMOR”, “Irs” magazines, a publication on Azerbaijan recently published by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, multimedia CDs on the country and postcards displaying Azerbaijan’s landscapes.

Speakers at the event expressed gratitude to Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leila Aliyeva.

Shater Ramadana is an important project performed by Russia’s Mufti Council to strengthen friendship in Moscow and regions of Russia, bring together Muslim representatives of different nations living in the capital. The project involved Kazakhstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Dagestan, Tatarstan and Ingushetia as well.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Representation in Russia has been taking part in the project since 2009.
