Ceremony of presentation of new publication of 5-volume of works by Rudolf Ivanov held at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Paying special attention to the study of our historical past Heydar Aliyev Foundation supports the studies by renowned Russian writer-scientist, member of International Information Academy, Professor Rudolf Ivanov and publication of his works. Books “Defence of Beyazid: Truth and Lie”, “Epos on aide-general of His Majesty Hussein khan Nakhchyvanski”, “On behalf of Soviet Union” by the writer were published in Russian language in Moscow in 2005-08 due to support of the Foundation. These works present bright and interesting images of historical personalities in base of facts. 

 

These works by Rudolf Ivanov published in different years due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation have been published this year as a 5-volume.

 

The “Dostlug” (Friendship) Order was awarded to Rudolf Ivanov in accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev of June 30, 2009 for huge contributions to strengthening of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Russia.

 

Ceremony of presentation of new publication of 5-volume of works by Rudolf Ivanov was held at Heydar Aliyev Foundation on July 3.

 

Attended by outstanding figures of Azeri literature and science, MPs and family members of the writer the ceremony was opened by People’s Writer Anar who congratulated the writer on being awarded the “Dostlug” (Friendship) Order and new publication of 5-volume of his works.

 

Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said Russia gives great importance to development of relations with Azerbaijan in all fields, including culture, talked of Rudolph Ivanov’s role in development of Russia-Azerbaijan cultural ties.

 

MPs Mikhail Zabelin and Elmira Akhundova talked about titanic action of the writer in a difficult sphere such as study, his infinite labor.

 

Head of Baku Slavy University’s Russian Literature and Its Learning Methods Department, Professor Mammad Gojayev, Doctor of History, Honor Figure of Science, State Prize Laureate of Azerbaijan Tamilla Musayeva noted the writer is famous with works on life of prominent servicemen of Caucasian nations. For long years he has been collecting and studying the facts on military commanders Hussein khan Nakhchyvanski, Ismail khan Nakhchyvanski, Kalbaly khan Nakhchyvanski, Jemshid Nakhchyvanski. Monographs by the writer base on researches of tens of years.        

 

Rudolf Ivanov expressed deep gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for the “Dostlug” Order awarded to him and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva for publication of his works released in different years as the 5-volume. Saying “Azerbaijan is my second homeland” the writer stressed in his future activities he will be inspired by attention shown to him and awarding of the high prize of our country to him.

 

The 5-volume was presented to the participants.

 

After the event, famous figures of science and writers of the country sincerely talked to Rudolph Ivanov, presented him with their works.
