A chess school in Ujar city

The chess school in Ujar city has been constructed following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. On 30 October 2011, President Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the chess school. 

 

Built in the form of a chess composition, the school’s area is 820 square metres. The school’s entrance is shaped as a pawn, surrounded by rook figures, with the central part resembling the figure of a king. 

 

Being one-storied, the school has five study rooms, one computer room, and service rooms. Area of the school’s games hall is 210 square metres. 140 pupils may play chess in the hall at a time. A special monitor has been installed to watch games live. 

 

The school has been provided with an up-to-date ventilation system, greenery laid in the surrounding territory, and up-to-date illumination system was installed.
