Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic and his spouse Sebia Izetbegovic visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Coming on an official visit to Azerbaijan, Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic and his spouse Sebia Izetbegovic visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, October 18.

Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic was greeted by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The guest of honour and his spouse were informed of the objectives and activity of the Foundation created in memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people.

It was informed that the Foundation has been studying and promoting the rich heritage of the national leader and greatly contributes to progress  of Azerbaijan, development of its culture and studying its history, by implementing various social and economic and humanitarian projects.

Bakir Izetbegovic and his spouse viewed photos taken from the national leader’s personal archive and related to different periods of his activity, and various exhibits.

While familiarizing themselves with the Foundation, the gusts were informed that the period the national leader was in power was one of the most glorious pages of the Azerbaijani history. The social and economic development recognized today by the international community as matchless success of our country is just fruits of the national leader’s activity.

The guests familiarized themselves with a number of documents reflecting the most different moments of phenomenal person Heydar Aliyev’s life and giving an idea  of a whole period of the Azerbaijani history, presents given by well-known political figures, books devoted to the national leader, and opinions of influential persons of science, culture and art about the builder of an independent Azerbaijan, and photos taken at meetings with leaders of foreign countries. The photo of Heydar Aliyev with the father of Bakir Izetbegovic, first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Alia Izetbegovic  on October 25, 1995 while in New York city produced a nice impression on the guests.

After familiarizing himself with the Foundation, Chairman of Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic wrote his heartfelt words in the Memory Book.

The guest of honour was given a present of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and his spouse left the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with rich impressions.
