A student’s dormitory named after Heydar Aliyev is commissioned in Kayseri

On October 20, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Abdullah Gul Foundation, inauguration of the student’s dormitory named after Heydar Aliyev took place in the education complex belonging to the Abdullah Gul University, in Kayseri city of Turkey.

 

Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for public and political affairs - department head Ali Hasanov, Turkey’s 11th President Abdullah Gul, head of the Kayseri Region Suleyman Kamchy, deputies from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia, the professional and teaching staff of the Abdullah Gul University, and students, NGO and mass media representatives attended the event.

 

First, Heydar Aliyev and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk were commemorated with a minute’s silence.

 

Then, the state anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were performed.

 

Chairperson of the Abdullah Gul Foundation Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu, MP Shamsaddin Hajiyev, deputy of the Russian Federation’s State Duma Dmitri Savelyev, official of the State Duma Ramin Gasymov, assistant to the Azerbaijani President Ali Hasanov and Turkey’s 11th President Abdullah Gul spoke at the event.

 

Books and photos reflecting the meaningful life and multilateral political activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev was displayed in the hall where the ceremony took place.

 

The student’s dormitory named after Heydar Aliyev covers an area of 9 thousand square metres. Comprised of three blocks, the dormitory will accommodate 375 students. All conditions have been created in this up-to-date dormitory for students’ comfortable dwelling.
