To safeguard and promote rich history, ancient and perfect household traditions of our people, Heydar Aliyev Foundation held Qala Festival in June 2010.
Arranged in the Qala State History and Ethnography Reserve, the Festival
involved 2,500 children from secondary and boarding schools and children’s
homes in Baku. The Festival exhibited handworks of weaving, pottery,
blacksmith, featured master classes for children.
The participants viewed sketches showing the ancient ethnographic traditions,
familiarized themselves with making of paste balls, wool carding, wheat
grinding.
