Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the International Forum on the subject of “South Caucasus and Central Asia: Vision of 2020”

Inauguration of the International Forum on the subject of “South Caucasus and Central Asia: Vision of 2002” took place in Baku, April 7.  


Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration.


Before the Forum, Leyla Aliyeva cut the ribbon symbolizing the the inauguration of a travelling library before the “JW Marriott Absheron”.


Leyla Aliyeva acquainted herself with the “Travelling Library”.


It was informed that this project will continue for one year and cover 15 regions of our country. With ten thousand books and five thousand electronic publications, this library will function always travelling, and book-lovers will get publications free of charge. Electronic catalogue of the books has been placed in a special program created in the “Travelling Library”. The library has publications in three languages, and eight sections function there.


Then Leyla Aliyeva acquainted herself with the “Open Shelf” projects. It was informed that the “Open Shelf“ means book shelves, and they will be placed in various places of our capital. Objective  of the project is to ensure that foreign tourists coming to our country have a change to get books associated with Azerbaijan without registration. The principle of the “Open Shelf” project  is to return a book taken later or give another book instead.


Then the Forum embarked on its work.


Executive Director of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farhad Hajiyev and Minister of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov delivered a speech.


Then Leyla Aliyeva addressed the Forum.


The Forum continued its work on the theme of “Relations with Media and Society for the Global Youth Project”.
