Meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met Germany’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel, March 14.

Underscoring the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany in all spheres, Mehriban Aliyeva emphasized Heidrun Tempel’s contribution to the development of these relations. Saying “As an ambassador, you have been conveying true information about our country”, Mehriban Aliyeva noted that this was contribution to the friendly relations between our countries and peoples. 

It was mentioned that Azerbaijan was interested in developing of relations with Germany – one of the leading countries of Europe, and that the cooperation between our countries based on mutual interest. Good potential for the development of relations between our countries in the humanitarian field was mentioned, and it was noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was ready to do more work in this sphere. Recalling a number of projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Germany, Mehriban Aliyeva said these projects were welcomed with much interest and that there was much potential for cooperation in the humanitarian field. 

Expressing her gratitude for having the honour of meeting with Azerbaijan’s first lady, Heidrun Tempel thanked Mehriban Aliyeva for the high appreciation of the relations between the countries. The ambassador mentioned the good relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, and emphasized that the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, led by Mehriban Aliyeva, are very well known also beyond the boundaries of Azerbaijan. 

Projects in the spheres of education and culture were discussed at the meeting.
