The 500th school constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is commissioned

One of the projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the field of education in the new academic year covered the district of Shamakhy. 500 schools have been constructed and repaired since 2004 within the framework of the projects implemented by the Foundation in the field of education. The 500th school of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was placed at the disposal of pupils and teachers in Goylar village of Shamakhy district on this Day of Knowledge.

 

Assistant to the Azerbaijani President, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov, head of the Shamakhy district Executive Authority Tahir Mammadov and head of the Mountainous Shirvan Regional Education Department Rovshan Aliyev became familiar with the facilities created in the school building. 

 

Anar Alakbarov met with pupils and parents, delivered them greetings of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, underscoring that all necessary facilities have been created in the new school building to make sure that pupils are well educated. He advised them to study well benefiting from the facilities created here.

 

Constructed in 1975, the building of Goylar village Secondary School No.1 had fallen into disrepair during the past period. As a result of the construction works launched with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in January this year, a new school building was constructed for 624 pupils. The three-storied school comprised of 4 buildings has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, and subject rooms and laboratories with visual aids. The education establishment has a rich library, an assembly hall to hold various events, an indoor sports hall to make sure that children grow healthily and encourage them to doing sports, and an outdoor sports ground in the backyard. Improvement and greenery planting works were carried out on the territory of the school.
