The Heydar Aliyev Foundation delivers holiday gifts up to 100 thousand families

Following the initiative of Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, holiday gifts were delivered to low-income families and those included in other vulnerable groups in connection with the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

 

Held by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Regional Development Public Association, the action covers up to 100 thousand families across the country. The action includes, in addition to low-income families, also children with poor health condition, as well as families with 5 and more children and those who were forced to leave their homes as a result of damages caused during the military assault by Armenia.

 

Gifts with food products are delivered to citizens by following the requirements of the existing quarantine regime, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population. Volunteers of the Regional Development Public Association have been closely participating in realizing this action.

 

Always showing attention to low-income families and those in need of special care, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been regularly implementing various projects aiming at them. So far, gifts were delivered to families receiving addressed social aid at New Year, Nowruz and Ramadan holidays, festive tables laid for thousands of people in need of social aid, and gifts were distributed. Foodstuff were delivered to people over 65, who were prohibited to leave their homes, as well as to low-income families within the project “We are strong together” during the special quarantine declared in the country in connection with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
