Heydar Aliyev Foundation to join “BibliObraz-2007” International Festival in Moscow

Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which attaches great importance to expansion of its international ties, will join the “BibliObraz-2007” International Festival in Moscow to be attended by 22 countries.


Initiated by First Lady of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Putina, the traditional festival will display on Manezh Central Exhibition Hall of Moscow from 9 to 11 October. The Azerbaijan delegation will take part at numerous actions arranged on this occasion, to represent national culture. Heydar Aliyev Foundation will exhibit the re-published works of Azerbaijani classical writers as Nizami, Mehseti, Vazeh, Sabir, Vurgun and Mir Jalal translated into Russian, and DVD and CDs narrating on samples of the national culture of Azerbaijan. Books will be exhibited in Festival days. Books published last years upon the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, publications of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, works of Azeri writers in Russian and other languages, miniature books, mini carpets, musical instruments, copperwares will be displayed in exhibition halls to the sound of the music.


The Festival will start with presentation of the project “Let us recognize each other”. The collection published by Heydar Aliyev Foundation for juveniles includes works “Dateless agenda” by Azeri writer Kamal Abdulla, “Kostya+Nika” by Russian writer Tamara Kryukova and “Orphan with father and mother” by Bulgarian writer Gerogi Mishev. The book that is published with special illustrations and big circulation will be presented to the libraries, as well libraries of secondary and higher schools of the republic. After the presentation, a “round-table” will gather the First Ladies of the participant countries at the Kremlin, who, on the next day will conduct a conference “Juvenile and modern society: law and liability”.


Participants of the Festival will receive a book and CDs dealing with the Azeri national musical instruments in three languages. Teens in national costumes inspired by designs of Russian artist G.G.Gagarin who lived in XIX century will familiarize the participants with process of making of national musical instruments in the event titled “Musical journey to Azerbaijan”. National costumes will be presented after the Festival to Azeris studying at the school with ethnic-cultural bias in Moscow.  


During the Festival days, the Azeri artists Nusret Hajiyev and Elmira Abbasli will give master classes on making of illustrations for books for children and dolls for school theatres.


Show of short length film ‘Friend’ and meting with it director Lale Akhundova is scheduled for teen participants of the Festival.


At the “Book Theater” Studio, the Azerbaijan Pantomime Theater actors will present fragments from the Azeri national tale “Malikmammad“. After the play, catalog “Paint by yourself” reflecting motives of tale “Malikmammad“ will be presented to the schoolchildren.


During the Festival, People’s Writer Chingiz Avdullayev is expected to meet with senior pupils, teachers and librarians. Skull-caps and silk kerchiefs will be presented to the attendees of the meeting to be held at the tea table.
