The Heydar Aliyev Foundation will hold events in a number of German cities

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation continues its projects aimed to promote the Azerbaijani culture in the world. Next events will be held in a number of German cities.

First event with support from the Foundation and the Consulate of Azerbaijan in Stuttgart will be held in Stuttgart, one of the oldest cities of Europe with its cultural traditions. Known as a venue in Germany, where grandiose cultural events are held, Stuttgart’s “Teatrhaus”  will host the Azerbaijani evening on October 14.

A concert program comprised on Azerbaijani composers’ works will be presented at the evening. Works by our coryphaeus composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Jovdat Amirov and Tofig Gouliyev will be performed also by German musicians along with our virtuosic performers like Farhad Badalbeyli and Murad Huseynov.

Painting and photo exhibitions will also be presented at the event. Creative works will be projected on walls.

One of the stands with 19 youth painting works will be named “Germany through the eyes of an artist”. Works that have been winners of exhibitions traditionally held in our country on the theme of Germany will be displayed in one of these stands.

The concept of the exhibition-competitions is presentation of works drawn by young artists with their creative imagination of Germany, a country, which they have never been to. Three winners of competitions held since 2008 travel each year to Germany, acquaint themselves with Berlin’s galleries and museums, and attend famous German artists’ master classes.

In another stand to be demonstrated at the event will be displayed photos reflecting Germans living in Azerbaijan since the 19th century.

The photos talk of the Siemens brothers who had once built an up-to-date copper melting factory, the biggest in Europe, and the activity and lifestyle of thousands of their fellow countrymen.
