Gabala 4th International Music Festival ended

Held with organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Gabala 4th International Music Festival ended on August 5.


Continued 13 days, the concert was performed by eminent musicians, artistic teams, soloists and conductors from Azerbaijan and foreign countries.


The Festival ended with performance by the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Led by twice Grammy Award winner and over 40 international awards Swiss conductor Charles Dutoit, the orchestra was accompanied by rector of the Baku Music Academy, People’s Artist, Farhad Badalbeyli, Director of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic, People’s Artist Murad Adygozalzade, violinist Dmitri Yablonsky, saxophonist Teymur Suleymanbeyli and clarinettist, People’s Artist Shukur Samadov.


The concert started with overture from the “Candid” Opera by US composer Leonard Bernstein. Soloists of the concert devoted the whole second part of the concert to samples of US composer George Gershwin’s creative work.


Then performance by young and talented Azerbaijani pianist, winner of the International Montreux Jazz Contest, Honoured Artist Isfar Sarabski was listened at a party organized at the Gafgaz Resort Hotel in connection with completion of the Festival.
