Heydar Aliyev Foundation holds charitable event for destitute children

Heydar Aliyev Foundation, to which charity, care to the growing generation and varied humanitarian actions is a priority, regularly holds charitable events for the capital’s children institutions to effectively organize their summer holiday.

The humanitarian event Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized on 25 August in Crescent Beach Hotel for residents of children’s homes No. 1, 2 and 3 was the continuation of this philanthropic mission.

Table was set, entertaining programs presented in the event for over 150 children. First, children played different interesting games together with clowns.

Then, celebration continued at the table. The event hosted by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to share children’s happiness featured songs and dances as well.

Children Nurida Mammadli, Yasemen Aghayeva, Elvin Alirzayev and others said they had a great time and expressed gratitude to Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.

Children expressed a deep pleasure of the festivity organized on the seashore.

Thanks to the next action arranged in hot summer days children spent an interesting and unforgettable day. All children in the party received the Foundation’s gifts.

This is not the only humanitarian action from Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

From the day of its establishment the Foundation has been implementing lots of humanitarian actions. The schedule of its activity covers education and healthcare, logistic support to children’s homes and boarding schools, raising the awareness of the public in this process.

The programme developed for boarding schools and children’s homes in the City of Baku is one of the most significant events in this sphere. This program is sourced from the mission pursued by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its president, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, who is governed by the slogan “Kindness to children has no limit”, to render a care to children abandoned, in the need of special care and deprived of parental care.

As part of this project, information about children’s homes and boarding schools was obtained and analyzed at Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the 5-year programme “The Development of Children’s Homes and Boarding Schools” was developed.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activity in this course is a worthy sample to other institutions to take care of destitute children, children deprived of parental care, with physical disabilities and left IDP by the Armenian military aggression to Azerbaijan.
