Opening of the building of Secondary School No.39 takes place in Ganja

On February 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the building of Secondary School No.39 named after Mir Jalal Pashayev in Ganja city. 

 

The existing building of the school, educating 930 pupils, has been basically repaired following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. Total area of the school is 12 thousand square metres. A stripe of greenery has been laid out on the surrounding territory and 3.2 thousand square metres of area covered with asphalt. 

 

The building is four-storied. Here, a smart classroom, information science and psychologist’s rooms, an administrative section, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories have been provided with necessary equipment. 

 

The new building of the school, designed for 1200 pupils, has been constructed for budget funds, based on the city executive authority’s order. Area of the building under construction is 3,654 square metres. A transformer substation has been installed for the new building, water and sewage network created, drinking and fire water reservoirs built, and an up-to-date boiler house created. 

 

There are classrooms, three workshops, sports halls, rich library, chemistry and physics laboratories, a physician’s room, a canteen, a teachers’ room, a military training room, an archive, an assembly hall for 150, and rooms for study groups in the school.

 

2138 pupils are currently being educated at the school.

 

The school was first commissioned into operation in 1962, and it had previously been called international secondary school No.39. In 1978, after eminent literature critic-scholar and writer Mir Jalal Pashayev passed away, to perpetuate his name, the school was named after Mir Jalal Pashayev, according to the pedagogical team’s request.
