Several schools built and basically repaired in Aghdash district with support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

In accordance with the State Programme on socioeconomic development of regions and the New School to New Azerbaijan Programme of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, important measures are taken in the past years in Aghdash district towards construction and capital repair of schools and strengthening their logistics.

Over the past 3 years, new buildings have been constructed due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for a school in Pirkeke village and the Habil Aliyev Music School, the M.Sheikhzade Gymnasium basically repaired. New schools have been built in Kotavan, Kukel, Yukhary Leki, Garadeyin and Gurjuva villages, the M.Isayev Gymnasium, School 3 in the town and School 6 in Leki settlement fundamentally repaired with public funds. 840-pupil 42 additional classrooms have been built for secondary schools in the town and Guvakand, Dahnakhalil, Mursel, Yukhary Leki, Yenikend and Nehrakhalil villages, modern heat systems installed at 13 schools.

Educational institutions in the district have received 480 computers, 15 schools provided with Internet access. The number of graduates from schools of the district having entered the higher schools and colleges lifted 5 times in comparison with 2003. In 2010, 271 of 1.446 graduates from the general secondary education level partook in college exams, while 400 of 790 graduates from the complete secondary education level participated in admission exams, 201 (42,8%) of which entered the higher schools.
