Sanatorium type boarding school No.8 was put into operation in Buzovna Settlement after major repair and reconstruction

Sanatorium type boarding school No.8 in Buzovna Settlement of the Khazar District essentially repaired and reconstructed on the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative was put into operation, September 13. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, member to the Milli Majlis from the Khazar District  Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony.

Mehriban Aliyeva was presented flowers. The Firs Lady of Azerbaijan cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening.

It was informed that this school has been functioning since 1962. So far no major repair works had  been done to the school. Construction works within the “Children Homes and Boarding Schools Development Program ” of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation started in March of this year. With general area of four hectares and designed for 290 schoolchildren, the sanatorium-type boarding school consists of two sections - the education section and the dormitory. A language laboratory provided with special equipment, physics, chemistry, military patriotism, labour and computer rooms and various subject rooms are functioning in the two-storied education building. There is a sports hall, library and a 160-seat assembly hall here. A stadium with 200 viewer seats has been built in the school’s yard. Children will be able to engage in various types of sports such as basketball, football and tennis. The school has its own water basin. Safety cameras have been installed in the building.

The President of the Foundation familiarized herself with the school building. The three-storied building has a spacious and light canteen and, on the upper floors, 10 bedrooms, 10 rest rooms and computer rooms and a physician’s room. Necessary conditions have been created for parents’ rest and staying overnight.
