Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva hosts iftar reception in Moscow

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Office in the Russian Federation took part in charity and cultural-educational project “Marquee of Ramadan” organized by the Council of Muftis of Russia with the support of the Moscow government.

On behalf of Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leyla Aliyeva, the iftar reception for 600 persons and the Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan were hosted.

Azerbaijan has for several years been partaking in this project at the initiative of Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leyla Aliyeva. Representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Office in the Russian Federation Ayan Hasanova said Mrs Leyla Aliyeva hosts iftar reception on a certain day of the month of Ramadan by tradition. In the reception, those who keep the fast taste national dishes, listen to national music, say poems. The attendees of the today’s iftar reception saw exhibition “Azerbaijan” opened in front of “Marquee of Ramadan”. The exhibition featured works by Azerbaijani photographs showing Baku’s and Azerbaijan’s beautiful sites and publications released due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well a video on Azerbaijan developed with the support of the Foundation.

Azerbaijani youth and visitors attending the event expressed gratitude to Mrs Leyla Aliyeva for the care and attention to the believers, respect to the religious traditions of the Azerbaijani people.

The event was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Embassy to the Russian Federation, the Council of Muftis and the government of Moscow, also other guests of different nations and religions.
